Fur identification and era

I'm finally getting round to sorting out the vintage collection that I've managed to accumulate over the past few months so I'm going to be posting some questions about various items over the next few days! However, I stumbled across this beauty of a coat today. Can someone help me identify the fur type and what era this may be from? The fur is soft and feels lovely!

It's muskrat dyed to look like mink and it dates to the 70s.
