Fur Identification on vintage hat

    Hi,

    I cannot pin down the type of fur on this hat. Driving me nuts! I've been over the resource page 3 times. And perused the internet over 2 days. Ugh. I need some help.

    The fur is very lightweight. Light brown almost reddish very soft downy under coat. Darker brown shiny guard hairs. The fur is less than an inch long. Extremely soft.

    Looks like possum from New Zealand or Australia.
