General question about tie sweaters

Hi,
I recently purchased a few acrylic cardigans (both made in England, according to label). Neither have buttons, just a tie closure. The colours are both pastel. I've looked on Etsy for similar styles. So far I haven't found any that resemble these sweaters. The only ones that I have found with a tie closure are 70s/80s according to the seller. I get an earlier vibe from my own sweaters

I just have a general question about when buttonless sweaters with tie closures were most fashionable. I can post pictures if it helps!

Thanks!

Here are the photos of the two different sweaters! I'm wondering if the reason I haven't been able to find them online is because I've haven't been typing in the proper style name. This style is not at all unusual today. Just curious as to when it would've been popular in the past.
Anyway, I'm actually starting to consider that they might be 70s earliest. I know Simpsons hasn't been around since I was really young (early 90s I believe) Would love to hear what you all think!
Thanks!

The blue one does have a care label! This makes so much sense now that they are bed jackets. No wonder I couldn't locate them on Etsy as regular sweaters. I just assumed they were cardigans because I had seen this style in stores today. In fact I had a sweater just like this that I had purchased from H&M a few years ago.

Also, regarding care labels--around what time did they start putting care labels on clothing?

They both look so warm and cozy. I agree with Nicole and Julie with 70s.

Simpsons was a Canadian department store and they had dropped the apostrophe from "Simpson's" by 1972 (some accounts say they had started in the late 60s). Regulations for care instructions became mandatory here in Canada in '71, I believe.

Thank you all so much for your input! I really appreciate it. And yes Deborah, they are very warm. And that tidbit about the Simpsons label is definitely helpful if I encounter more pieces in the future! Thanks again! :)
