I was gifted this hat by a lady, and I don’t have any information on it. I have tried finding something on it, but I can’t seem to find anything. If anyone could help me that would be great! Thanks in advance.

That is a sweet hat. What is it you wish to know, other than the date?

It dates to the early to mid 1950s. Flowers look to be glued to the foundation, the foundation materials (looks like buckram and satin) were blocked on a wooden hat block, edged with velvet piping and may also have a wire under the piping. Flowers might possibly be from Japan, as are the tiny pearly stamens.

    Very pretty!

Thank you! That was a lot more information than I had before.

I would like to know any information on this hat. I wish I knew the maker, but it seems to be missing from it. I believe the foundation is buckram, it doesn’t feel like satin.
