    Hi,

When I acquired this coat I was told it was from the 1910s, but I am not sure if it really is that old.
Could anybody please help me date it? I have not found any reference from a tag from Carson Prie Scott & Co Chicago exactly like this one...
There is a hook closure on the top which I'm pretty sure it is not original from the coat. Also, on the back side of the button it says "Prym Patented". The lining seems to be thin taffeta. I am attaching some pictures.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Due to it being black, it is a bit hard to see the details. From what I can see, it appears to be a 1930s era evening coat.

    Lovely.

1937 - 1941 -- they were really popular at the time, usually in black, sometimes with rabbit collars.
