help dating sheer cover w. metallic trim

having trouble dating this garment, can't tell when this metallic trim is from. feels like chiffon, any help appreciated!

Hi Aimee, it looks to me like a nylon chiffon piece that you'd wear over a plain maxi polyester dress in the early '70s. The trim could be original or could be an addition.
