Greetings All! I'm thinking 90s but not sure on these. I found a set for sale on Etsy that has a matching jacket. Thanks for any help Lauren
Cute! I always associate Bagatelle with the 1970s, but there are folks here who know more about how long the label was around. They look 70s in style to me, but the Made In China would be odd for that decade.
Thanks Barbara, here is a photo of the suit that someone has for sale at the moment, perhaps this helps?
I agree that Made in China indicates something newer... either from the 90s revival of flares or 2000s I would guess.
Margaret Godfrey was one of the main designers, her name usually appeared on the label. As her name does not show up on these and they were made in China, I am not sure these are 20 years old, it would depend on when the company began their manufacturing in China. They have their own website. https://bagatelle.ca/ http://www.clothingcanadafashion.com/designers-1900-1980/1960-2/margaret-godfrey-bagatelle/ Jonathan has a blog as well https://kickshawproductions.com/blog/?p=7719 the McCord Museum also has a bio on her - you have to go the right side of your page to scroll down for this one. She retired in 2010. https://encyclomodeqc.musee-mccord.qc.ca/en/entry/margaret-godfrey/
