Help dating suspenders/braces I found in my wall!

    Hello! While doing some renovations on my late 1800/1900 Victorian home, an electrician found a pair of suspenders/braces inside of the wall!

    They are in rough shape, but they are fabric with embroidery. The buckles and back piece are metal, and the latter is engraved.

    I've posted some photos. Any ideas are appreciated!

    Nice find! Can you show a closer view of the metal parts, on the ends? Looks 1880s ish to me. But it also looks like it could be earlier, even 1860s.
