Hi and good morning to all

I picked this up recently, and am unsure about the decade/dating. It's hand sewn. The tie is attached like a sash. Side closures of snaps. I thought maybe 20s/30s but maybe not that old? I need to spend some time studying pre 1950s bc it seems like that's what I always ask about!

thanks so much for any feedback

postwar 40s - 1946-47ish, I think its too long for wartime, but it might look different mounted on a dress mannequin

Just a thought as I also wonder if when they shortened it they used the fabric to make the sleeves and the original gown would have been sleeveless.

Seeing it mounted makes a big difference -- and the label confirms it too - this is late 30s. 38ish
