Hi all, I’m trying to give an approx date to this wedding dress. It looks like an unfinished handmade dress or an old(ish) dress that someone at some point tried to reworked perhaps?! It’s ivory satin silk with lace and pearl details - the pearls probably a later addition. The sleeves have concealed zippers, which I find a little unusual. The age spots on the dress makes me think it’s pretty old but not sure at all ❓ Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! - Julie.
I'm thinking mid 60s... the short standing collar, the long sleeves. If it was older the neckline woudl be different and the waist a little lower, if it was newer it would have cuffs and a fuller sleever and probalby a fuller skirt... I'm getting 1964-66ish from it.
