I’ve inspected this dress for clues but I’m still not able to determine its age. It’s Ivory in color. There is a ILGWU tag sewn into the skirt portion of the dress and a tag that says DRY CLEAN ONLY. The zipper is metal and has the brand “MARK” on it. I’ve attached photos to see if it helps. There are three pieces, the dress, the crinoline and the veil. The crinoline brand is “Merry Modes, Inc.” and the veil is unbranded. Thank you.
Middly 70s on the dress, but the veil is older - the laces don't match, the veil cap looks early 70s or even late 60s. It may have been the 'borrowed' item...
I agree with Jonathan, of course. Just FYI, the ILGWU union label is listed in our Label Resource as in use from 1974-1995.
