It looks correct to me, Lizzie. Looks like you can wrap it even more if you want and then tie off in a bow. And I guess 60s.

The ties should be pulled to the back first. You don't want the bodice to be showing gathers and fullness. Then I'd bring the ties to the front with the front wide rather than narrow. Then I'd tie a fabulous bow to one side.
