Hello from Me, am Scott a normal bloke ;)
yet i have a few thousand pieces of Vintage fabric i have not got a clue about.
My Nan Ginny was a seamstress, she started work in the 40s.
Then she started to sew and collect.
I have a room in my house with shelf's in that are four feet wide by eight feet deep.
Two of them stacked from floor to ceiling.
I need help identifying what they are.
have looked at the resource guide, yet seems i have a lot to look through.
Was wondering if anyone close, wanted to swop a little time for a bit of fabric.
Am on the Wirral, near liverpool ;)
Will upload a few photos ;)

Hi Scott, and welcome to the forums.

Identifying the age and textile of vintage fabrics is a specialised area - my suggestion is to see if there are any vintage shops near by, or you could try fashion or textile colleges. If I wasn't so far away, I'd offer my services.

It might be hard to find someone but I wish you luck: once you know what you have, you can then work out what to do with it.
