Help w/ vintage, 40s or 50s style dress w/ nylon zipper

    The skirt part looks a bit short in the photos, but I am 5'5" and it covers the kneecaps well when worn. Has a narrow U neckline. Is it more 40s or 50s style? Could the nylon zipper be a replacement? Though I don't see any holes in the area. Thank you!! 20200703_155259.jpg

    I *think* this might be an 80s square dance dress... the fabric, the colors, the zipper... and the style and length is traditional square dance style.
