Hi, I am new to this Forum. My mother worked in the fashion industry, as a buyer and arranged fashion shows, in the 1950's. She has just gone into care and I need to sell some of her clothes as she has a lot! I have no idea about two coats (pictured). One says it is Kashmoor Worumbo and is black, with a raised stripe pattern and an astrakhan collar. It's very heavy. The other is what I believe is slub silk, and has a label that I cannot identify (pictured). Can anyone help with these

    Hi Carolyn

Are you hoping for help with dating these? For the black one, we will need a picture of the whole coat, and ideally the labels too.

The brown coat could be silk or it could be an artificial fibre - it can be hard to tell from a photo.
