Hi everyone, I'm a new member who sells clothes online in Australia. Have found this cool dress in thick cotton fabric, its construction and style looks 60s or 70s, label is Miss Moneypenny, made in USA. Thoughts ? 20180405_161319-02.jpeg
    And here is the label

It looks like the label says “Made in SA” (rather than “Made in USA”). Is that what it says? If so, is there some part of Australia that is referred to as SA?

  4. It looks like SA from here. Saudi Arabia? The company appears to be in South Africa. South Africa's country code is ZA. Typo or did they outsource to SA?

They have a website that says they've been in business for over 20 years. The labelling looks quite recent while the fabric design has a retro feel. Cute.

South Africa. That's it. Thanks so much. Who would have thought? Yes it's such a cute dress.

If you google the company, you'll find a Miss Moneypenny Fashion in South Africa. Looks like they've been in business for 20 years so this is probably not 60s or 70s but more 1990s at the earliest.

Yes, probably quite recent, it just threw me because it's so unusual to find an African brand over here in Oz. K

  8. Agree with '90s for this dress, based on labels and style.

The designer of the print is Neisha Crosland, better known for her wallpapers and interior fabrics. That print started appearing on bags and clothing only during the 2000s. If it is not her then it is a copy.
