Hi there, I think I replied to a fb post of yours but I’m happy to help here as well. Your first coat is mink. Can you please show me a close up of the collar and hem? It looks like that trim might be a different fur type. Your first stole is marmot. Your second coat is muskrat with a raccoon collar. Your second stole is mink.
Thank you so much! I had different people on Facebook tell me different things, and I was so confused. Someone said I had beaver and dyed rabbit. I spent over two hours researching online, and reading posts on this forum. I thought goodness, the lady responding on furs here REALLY knows for sure! I'm going to ask here thank you so so much! I'll add pics of the collar this evening thank you again!
Also why is the mink stole like more plush than the mink coat? Would it be like the time the furs were harvested? Or the breed? They're both super soft and silky but the stole is like super plush
Awww, thank you. We're happy to help here, there, and everywhere. On fb unless you know who is responding you really don't know who specializes in what. The mink stole has been cared for better than the mink coat which I can see in the images so the fur is going to feel nicer to the touch, it's going to be thicker, and it's going to be more pliable.
