Hollis, if your around I have a question ??

It's about bust darts in dresses, when they started putting them in that is. We had a discussion about it a few years ago but I can't find the thread.
Can you refresh my memory please?

Tori, I don't remember that discussion. I bet someone will come along soon who does.

I did take a look at some of Lizzie's 30's patterns and there doesn't seem to be many bust darts, if any.

Its driving me crazy, it wasn't an actual discussion about darts per say, it was just brought up in a thread about a dress I asked about a long time ago and I remember Hollis saying that bust darts weren't incorporated into dresses until such and such a date???

I am asking this because the dress I posted about in another thread here and on the VC&A has no bust darts and I thought maybe it was 30's but they are replying back to me (VC&A) that the dress is 50's. I just don't see 50's but what do I know???:question:
