Discussion in 'PUBLIC Vintage Fashion - Ask Questions Get Answers' started by vintageclothes-line, Sep 27, 2004.

  1. I guess it would be 50s. I am calling it a clover..like 3 leaf clover..what do you think?

clover or shamrock? How big is this Linda? The larger brooches seem to be doing well.

  3. It's big. (I have a big hand. :P) It's about 2 1/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches. I have it ready to go on auction tonight.

Thanks for the shamrock idea. I will use it.

Pretty. I think they call most of the white rhinestone brooches with a basically round symmetrical design "snowflake", but clover does seem more fitting to this shape...

Clovers are generally 3-leaf are they not? I would guess Shamrock would be more of a search term though. Stunning brooch!!! *drool*

  10. Yes, I think of clovers as "three-leaf." When I was little, I remember searching for that "Four-leaf" clover for good luck, but mostly I just got the 3-leaf.:(

Yep, clover is generally 3-leaved (if you don't believe me, ask my horse :D ) - that's why finding a 4 leaf clover is special.

But finding this brooch would be special too, in a more grown-up way!

    :)

  12. For some reason it reminds me of celtic knot work. It also looks like a club (playing cards). Ohhhh...sparkly...*drool*.

  14. I'm with Kevin. I see a snowflake. Maybe it's just cuz I'm tired of being hot! (or is it just hot flashes??) Let it snow already!

    :P Maureen

LOL. It does, doesn't it? I can also see a "V". Maybe it is a Victory Pin for card players!!:D
