I couldn\'t wait to find this...but now i did!

I saw this handbag in an antique store up north and absolutely flipped over it. I am just a sucker for handbags with little compartments/accessories et al...and I loved the shape, the details of it, and the fact that it had the little retractable brass lipstick holder, the compact, and the little deco details.

well..i was very very broke at the time and it was really not the time to be buying something like that, but i looked at it a lot and the owner of the shop asked if i wanted to put it on layaway (it wasn't cheap), and i almost did once, but the money lept going to other more necessary things...and then someone else ended up buying it anyhow...

Low and behold sometime later...within the last month or two....i found another one ...and i bought it!

It's a cool evans with all the little doodads.... I was soooo excited. : ) (lipstick tissue, lipstick holder, compact, mirror)

The little hand mirror seperated from its backing, but that's really the only thing..and i can replace that..

So I know we were talking about "holy grails" to find at one point, but i am curious if anyone found anything recently they have just really really wanted to have/find?? (especially something they wanted personally vs wanted to have to sell)

Oh boy...I'm not a handbag person, but I do really like this!

No story here either (haven't been shopping in ages), but I love hearing of other's finds.

Actually I had been looking for a vintage St. John but never seemed to come across any. Then today, when I was doing a work errand, I stopped at a rummage sale and low and behold, a 1970s blue St. John's dress with an I. Magnin tag! I gasped and grabbed!! lol I also found a pair of Chanel shoes, a Burburry coat and a beautiful I.Magnin Black party dress with a huge bow encrusted with rhinestones! There were a few other items I snagged at the same time for a whopping $10!
