I was doing some searching for help with some spots on a wonderful 1940s dress. I came across this cool article from Popular Science magazine circa 1945 titled <a href=http://books.google.com/books?id=bCEDAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA198&lpg=PA198&dq=stains+acetate+remove+how+to&source=bl&ots=GbpGeCFMb1&sig=3XzIMzJdQoQWUtYufzmzlaE0aFM&hl=en&ei=F6HVTIzZNI30tgPVkb2NCw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=6&ved=0CDAQ6AEwBTgU#v=onepage&q&f=false>Spot Removal: A Task for the Chemist in your Family</a>

No good news about my particular stain, but some interesting information, particularly about possible approaches to dye turn from acidic perspiration. I though I would share.
