Is this a wartime 40's Suit or more of a cusper??

  1. Is this a wartime 40\'s Suit or more of a cusper??

Belted jacket, slim skirt in longer length. This one is a good size too! Have listed in the wartime 40's category, but am now second guessing myself.

Also, can you see the details in the closeups??

    Thanks for your help!!

Yes, the details show very clearly.

The skirt looks a little too long and full for wartime, Bonnie - and with the short-length sleeves it has more of a 50s feel, whilst the jacket details are 40s to me..................so I guess I'd go for a cusper on this one! ;-)

hmmm...I'm with Margaret on this Bonnie. The skirt
is too long - but the collar detail on the jacket looks
40s to me. I think I would go with cusper or
    early 50s.

And yes, I can see the details. The fabric looks like a silk
    shantung?

Yes I can see the details and they are stunning!

  5. Thanks all!! I will change my category.

The fabric is a stumper. It is quite lightweight and only in the pics does it look like a shantung. The back of the fabric is black with a very satiny sheen.
