Is this \"fearless\" eagle label from the....

the war? Or some such thing?
I cannot tell if this is a fleet of foot winged foot above the "fearless" or if it is an eagle?
Does this have meaning? I thought it was rather odd that it says fearless..

THanks so much guys, this label is on what at first I thought was a 1950's suit but now I am not sure...

Michelle, I did a google search on "fearless eagle", but found nothing related to clothing.

Hopefully someone will know. Do you have a pic of the suit that you can
    post?

Here are a couple of pictures....
Its a windowpane heavy wool with a nipped waist and matching belt, the belt is what makes me think this is 40s rather then 50s as well as the skirt length and cut...
    what say you?

    Oh and Sue,
I googled that as well as a plethora of other combinations and come up with some interesting things but nothing about labels....

could just be that company's motto, just seemed a tad odd to me... the fearless seamstress! LOL

  5. Michelle, I searched to see if I could find Oregon City's motto, thinking maybe it was "fearless." I got nowhere, too.

    Nice suit!

Well the skirt is too long for WW2, and it sure looks like a 1948 - 52 kinda of suit. So I would guess it just a patriotic logo coming out of the post war WW2/ Korean War era.

And a pretty snappy suit, too.

    Thanks everyone.
Actually it is a nice size Sue, I listed it as a medium large if I remember correctly (have not had my coffee yet)....
It is listed if everything went well with my program! I have yet to check!

I just put it up as 40s and mentioned the fact I am still trying to find info on the label... I have done that a few times and have received information from ebayers :)
