Is this orlon?

    I love this sweater its perfect for spring and cool summer nights. Nylon like fabric would that be orlon?

    Hi Pauline,

    it could very well be orlon, which can appear similar to nylon in some things.

    Orlon was developed in 1941 and the fibers don't melt like nylon does. It became a trademark name in the 50s.

    This sweater is lovely...pink roses, pearls....so soft and feminine!

    Yeah and I am surprised that after all these years there are no stains. I always thought this type of fabric stained with storage.

    Oh and its still very white!
