    Hello,
Does anybody know anything about this Jane Alain label? It looks to me like the dress could be a shop girl uniform but I'm not sure. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi, can you please post an image of the whole item to give us an idea what it looks like and when it may be dated to?

    Hello, IMG_4439.JPG
Its a kind of 60s shift but really well made, bound button holes etc. which is what made me think its perhaps 50s workwear?

It looks 60s to me. I think if it were meant to be used as a uniform (perhaps used by a hair stylist or cosmetics counter sales woman) it would have had to have some more "practical" pockets.
