Hey brilliant VFG gurus, I'm trying to get info on a designer by the name of Joan Iris. She designed these groovy Chinese-themed jackets. I've seen a few floating around on the internet, but some people place the particular jacket I have as '30s/40's, while others claim similar work from the 60s. I'd like to know some details about the designer so I can make an educated assessment. Does anyone have info about her or her company?

It looks 50s to me. It looks like a pyjama top from the time frame. I can picture Lucille Ball in I Love Lucy wearing something like this.

I just looked up the name online and found this bit of info on tradmarkia

You are a goddess! I think you are right on about it being a lounge jacket and 50s looks right, particularly when considering the trademark registration date. Thanks a million!
