Kashmiracle Coat Date

Discussion in 'PUBLIC Vintage Fashion - Ask Questions Get Answers' started by shopping-goddess, Aug 4, 2004.

  1. I thought I'd picked up a 50s, Kashmiracle coat, as it seemed to have an open, 'swing' cut. When dressing Raven in it, I found the belt. :o Now it looks 70s to me. Opinions, please?

    Thanks!

Steph, looks 70's to me also, but I could be wrong :)

Could be the lack of anything pushing it out, but I think that to be a swing coat it might need just a touch more fullness at the hem. Is the back very full?

I think it is later coat as well. I have looked up Kashmiracle to see when their production dates were, but no luck so far.
Of course you can sell it as a convertible coat - to be worn as a Clutch coat or belted.

  5. Thanks, gang!

No, the back doesn't have more 'swinginess' than the front, KJ. Good point! And I needed "clutch," Hollis. :) I like the versatility of looks it could do.

I think 70s too Steph, but that should not detract from the desirability
of this coat. Very classy chic look and would work over a dress, suit,
    slacks and jeans!
