Lassie Maid Coat 50\'s ?

Found this gorgeous coat a while back and whilst Im patiently waiting for the weather to cool, pant, pant, I would love to know a bit more about the Lassie Maid company and the era. Most of what comes up on the web has these coats at 40's 50's era. The tag is intrigueing as I have never come across one tailored in Australia under USA licence.
Its pure wool, the cream is a fine boucle, the green contrast a fine woven wool. Fully lined in cream satin finish lining
Perfect condition - has teeny brown spots that appear to be the natural fibre.
