Lingerie - What is this called?

    Hi all,

Found this today but I'm not sure of what this type of lingerie is called. Could anyone help me out please? Is it a playsuit or a romper? I looked up the label in the database here and the label matches that of a 1960s one, so I assume that it is dated from the 60s?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi Tamzzyn, I'm having trouble discerning the silhouette: is it clipped to the mannequin? If you have a photo of it flat on a surface it might be easier to see the shape. Can you also show the other side of the label and any other labels it might have.

I'm getting more of an early '70s feel from this one. Are there any openings apart from the shoulder buttons? I wonder if it's pyjamas (pajamas).

    Thanks :)

Here are the photos. Yes, I had clipped it to the mannequin but then realized that it didn't really work (because I guess it is supposed to be loose) but then my phone died so I didn't take any more photos! But now you've asked and it's charged again :) There are no other openings except for the shoulder buttons on each side. There are also no other labels, just the one. I've taken a picture of the back of the label.

  4. Cute! I see PJs and will stick with early '70s.

Thanks for the extra pics; silhouette is everything in fashion, although I understand the urge to clip to the mannequin to make it more flattering. Are there belt loops at the sides? I can see this with a matching sash, probably in the pale blue colour.

Thank you so much :) No, no belt loops and no indication that there had ever been any. It was hanging in the dress section of the local thrift store and thought it was quite cute and unusual so had to get it!
