  2. Wow, those are great pics. Can't wait to see your auction. I did a Pink Lot last night with a tea cup. Didn't put as much in it as the green one but the cup and saucer are nicer. We will see.<p>Doing just jewelry should really get those jewerly lovers looking!

I have a jewelry lot to put up too (not as nice as yours. I'm including a needlepoint tote bag with mine). Anyway, not in my lot, but I have the exact same necklace as the third one
you show...it is lovely - problem with mine is it is missing
some stones :( so I'm put it in the 'crafter's' pile.

Linda - i hope you are correct : ) It was hit and miss over the winter, but then i didn't do a lot this big except the religious medals.
and leave it to the scanner when you want great pics - have to really reduce the resolution to post, but it works

    sue-

well mine is too Sue, if we are talking about the same necklace. I just put it in with there as it is pretty and thought someone might like to replace the stones, and there are so many that are perfect in the lot, or at least such a minor mark or scuff that no one would even notice it if you were wearing it, that i thought this was more or less a bonus piece. there are one or two that just need a new hook too, but because so many people like AB. i thought i would have the others tag along. I bought the whole jewel collection of a lady who worked at Woodward & Lothrop in Washington DC from when she was a young girl in the late 20s to about 1982 when she retired.

Everything that i have in my ebay and vc-mall stores or auctions is from what she bought up with her employee discount over the years. I had religious medals, figural jewelry, etc. The son had the presence of mine to keep some really beautiful long strands of late 20s pearls - they were really beautiful, but the rest i got for a song.

I sold a lot over the fall and winter, and now i just want to clear the rest out. I have one bracelet that might end up in the "keep" pile, but now i am to the point that i need to move the rest to make room. I also have a goldfish pin that didn't move over the winter, so maybe i will park him in the store and try him again or wait until i have a fish lot : )

that's a good idea...i think i will do an Oops or a crafters lot with some other things i have left over because there are so many odds and ends...loose beads...etc...and i know that i will never use them. If there were things i could use in stained glass or lamps - crystal beads, et al, i put them aside, but mostly they are plastics.

I will most likely post it tomorrow as i have 10 day auctions ending next friday, so they will all end at the same time, but i may just press the trigger today....i will post to this thread when i am "live." i have no clue about a BIN, so i may just let the auction run its course.

Chris, I have a friend that sells a lot of jewelry on ebay and has actually
at times done better with Ooops or crafter's lots than she does with
'good' stuff! It never ceases to amaze her.

Fab lot! It should do well for you, Chris!

I have actually been doing a lot of bidding lately on lots of jewelry. Unfortunately, I can't bid much as I am broke...so I don't win much. But, what I have won, I will have made a decent profit if I resell just 20% of it! My hours are always crazy at work during tourist season and I figured it would be easier to do jewelry than clothes right now. (like you said, the scanner is great for that!)

I have done well in the past selling as well as buying crafter/piece lots. I have received lots where maybe there are 3 pieces (earrings and necklaces) and I have been able to replace the stones in the necklace with the earrings or vice versa. I also save pieces, especially rhinestone ones, with missing stones ....or a single earring...and have been able to "fix" other pieces with the "parts."

It was just posted to Ebay!

A little earlier in the day than usual - its only 10:20 am here...but what the heck...it's a good time for international bidders and those "ebaying at the office" : )

Do you put "Crafter's lot" or "for DIY" in the title? "Whoops?"
