Listed this on ebay last week and it got very little attention, and no bids - I'm wondering if it might be part of a suit rather than a 'stand alone' jacket? I've listed it again, but am wondering why it bombed so badly before? There was probably a matching skirt. However, these little short jackets are very popular this Fall to be worn with skirts, slacks or jeans. And those puff sleeves are all the rage, too. See if I can find you a magazine scan.
I would also guess it had a skirt and was worn with a little silk shell blouse. It's so hard to say why things don't sell. It could be the color is not quite it, or the size, or the style, or who isn't in front of the computer screen right now. Margaret do you have a bright colored top to put under it to really make it stand out. I think too that it went with a skirt esp seeing as the front is plain with no buttons.
Interesting Label with the Paris... I think this would do very well toward the end of August. Perfect to dress up jeans as shown in the Marie Claire mag, a bit odd I was just looking at that a few days ago. I think this whole trend has come from the tweed fantasy weave/no button/fringed edged Chanel jacket that has been worn with jeans and has a million year waiting list that the "stars" have made so popular. It is trickling down from that... I think we are going to see alot of rather "dressy" suit type jackets with contemperary casual items in the fall. I think your pairing it with the black jeans is great. Right now ebay is just VERY slow, not a thing wrong with and everything right with that jacket in my humble opinion Michelle

The black jeans are the Versace jeans currently in my VC-Mall store ...............I was too lazy to take them off after photographing them before the jacket.........................and too dim to think of putting a top on *under* the jacket! >sigh!< Thanks for the magazine copy, Linda. I;ve copied it, so if the jacket doesn't sell this time round, I'll use it when I relist at the end of summer. Margaret, if it doesn't sell this time, you have 30 days to relist, and last year coats (not to mention jackets) were starting to sell in August. I think this would look smashing with jeans! Great scan Linda Sue
Margaret, this probably did come with a skirt, but I think the others are right about it fitting in with that short jacket look for the fall. I've never had super luck with Feraud. It always sells, especially in larger sizes, but usually not for stellar amounts. Michelle, if you only knew how long I've been yearning for a pink Chanel fantasy tweed suit. *sigh*
Hey Leigh, Email me with your size and measurements. I passed on a few Chanel pink fantasy tweed suits because they were too much for resale but still VERY good prices. This was about 3 weeks ago but they may still be there.... If I remember correctly one was just the jacket and the other was a whole suit that had a touch of pale melon woven thoughout the pink... I agree with what everyone else has said. The little jacket trend (begun by the Chanel jacket trend with celebs) + jeans will THE thing this fall. I'm already seeing it, at night, here in Phoenix. While buying, I've loaded up on boucle jackets for fall listings. I've never had stellar luck with Feraud either and don't know why. OOOHHHHH I have longed for a Chanel suit (ok, I will settle for a jacket) for years and years. If you can find one in about an 8 ..that isn't too $$$$$$$$ let me know. joey
