My Most Funkalicious D\'Glady\'s Shoes I went a lookin for 40s peep toe platforms and came up with these...well...they ARE platforms ;) And here are the funkalicous new shoes.... perfect size too. i slip my feet into them, and i am a statuesque 5' 5" tall! the difference between that and my normal 5' height - it feels like suddenly being turned into the Sears Tower. <img src="http://image.inkfrog.com/pix/patentleathershoes/platforms.JPG" width=530 height=388> and oh, of course they are patent leather... did you even have to ask? monitor makes the color just a stitch off but you get the idea! well patent leather platform shoes are probably love em or hate em for a lot of people....but this was just as if one of my favorite colors, my patent driving loafers, one of my metal belts, and always wanting a pair of platforms (well..not the same era, but...), all colliding like a strange train wreck into one item. basically, when i saw them the immediate "MUST HAVE" signal went on in my brain, the "I NEED PRACTICAL CLOTHING" signal shut off, and the back up justification was by saying i will put them in my mall store, but i just can't do it...yet! Maybe i will display them : ) definitely "indoor shoes" at least with my level of grace and poise anyways! I paid a rediculously small amount of money for them, too, which made me happy. all i can say is if a casting call comes around for extras for the next Austin Powers movie, my feet will be prepared! :P
