Not sure what type of buckle this is.

    Hello --

    I'm reposting your images below. What are the dimensions? It resembles half of a slide brooch/duette, but knowing the size may help us narrow it down.

    Thank you for the dimensions, Sacto Dave. It appears to be on the small size for a buckle, although it could be -- however, it appears to be a half of an item -- possibly a slide brooch where each half serves as a clip or other clip of some sort. Let's see what others say.

    I agree it looks like half of a buckle. From the stones and the size, it looks 1930s, the type used on thin narrow belts for evening gowns, velvet dresses, etc.
