Hi Merrill - I wish I was closer to you than Liverpool! - it sounds like you have a pretty good stash there!

It is difficult here to help much without photo's to look at, but I'm sure some folk will be able to help with more info based on the labels. The lable resource should be able to help you with the Miyake dresses too - much as I love them, I not totally geared up on them.

If you keep logging in here, someone will be able to help you more.

Hi Merrill!

Sounds like you have some nice things. Condition and style also figure in to the desirability of the item. Can you take a picture of the full garment?

Yes, only one picture at a time will be attached using the box on this board. If you use a photo host, you can copy as many photos into a message as you want, as you will just paste in the url that the photohost gives you as a location. inkfrog has a 2 week free trial and i think photobucket is free. (but if you are patient enough to use the one photo per post method, we don't mind either :)

Sorry - I can't see any of the images...............think it has something to do with using that box to post them????

It could be your browser...but for me I have just had to be very patient as they take a long time to load (they are set at rather large files). Just sit tight a minute and leave the thread open, unless you are seeing pizza boxes :(

The font on the Christian Dior label matches the font style on the Christian Dior ready to wear label in the resource from the 80s. I don't know when the label changed again, so I would wait for people who know Dior well to respond but just based on that i would venture to guess it was from that timeframe. I am not seeing the photo of the actual dress so well so will come back after i have rebooted my browser.

I am no help on these but I am sure Lin will be back with some useful info.
However, I did redo your pics a little so we could see them better.

Oh my!!! I love those Quorum dresses! I may have to take a trip to Hastings! :love008:
<P>
They both look very Ossie-esque. I don't know that much about the hierarchy of the Quorum labels, since both Ossie and Alice had their names on their own garments - but they both look of the right era and are VERY lovely styles. Not sure about value, probably worth looking at the Radley own label garment prices, and the Ossie prices and picking something in-between.
