I would love to see pics of your Christmas tree if u have one!

Here is a picture of my 1950's 4 foot tall aluminum tree.
All it needs are some presents!

Love it! I have an aluminum but the foil keeps falling off and I have a cat that is obsessed with eating it.... :( Love the colors!

I have an 18 month old this year, AND an insane 1 year old cat so I consolidated what is normally my creepy vintage elf tree into my normal tree and went for a sort of old fashion, mixed bag effect...

1 yr old cat (Gatsby) will not leave it alone, though.

  3. Lovely idea Angela! And your tree is so stylish and elegant. I would love a colour combination like that. HOWEVER, Martha insists we put EVERYTHING on the tree so it's a 'mish-mash' of decorations collected over the years, including a little green felt boot that Martha made last week.

Not forgetting our beloved Christmas elf.

So lovely! Every year I pull out my Jewelry Christmas tree for my mantle. And then this year I decorated the tree with star fish that I had gotten at a yard sale earlier in the year. Just kept it simple.

I love these pictures! Thank you for sharing.

Here's our giant cat toy, aka our tree, and The Stig. All the ornaments are vintage, acquired from years of yard sale and flea markets, or handed down from our families.

    Happy Holidays everyone!

I don't have a tree as I am alone here, but my brother in San Francisco always has a beauty and sends me a photo which I share with you folks. Our life styles (read income levels as well) are polar opposites.

  12. We don't have a tree (in fact I don't think I ever have had one, since leaving my parent's home) but I have to say thank you, because I'm loving these tree photos, and I also love the little sneak peeks into your homes: I love how everyone's home is different and personal.

Here's my tree - I like traditional - colorful and glittery:

The big colorful ornaments are new ones that I bought when I had my first own apartment, and bought this Christmas tree. Apart from that, there are some childhood ones that were always mine, but hung on the family Christmas tree before, like the glass candy that I got from my mom's friend in New York. And there are several vintage or at least secondhand ones that I picked up at various charity thrift shops (summer is a good time to shop for those!).

    And of course... there's Daffy!

I'm enjoying seeing everyone's trees and homes, too. I'm not doing a tree this year but I am planning on putting out my miniature shoes - just got them out and will be playing them in a little while.

Here are two photos of my tree from a couple of years ago:

    [IMG][IMG]

Many of the ornaments are now "vintage" - some were my mother's and some my father's wife's. Most of the shoes are from the Metropolitan Museum of Art collection - I've been collecting them for years.

We can't do our tree this year due to the latest kitty in the house. We went from feeding a feral kitty to taking in two of her kittens permanently as of last November and we now have another crazy little boy cat, so we'll have to wait until he matures. The feral cat has disappeared after her 3rd litter, we never got to see any of those kittens.

But here are a couple of shots of some of our past trees.

This is the tree we inherited when we purchased our home 7 years ago.

and this is the darling angel I purchased with my own funds when I was all of 7 years old.

  17. Mary Jane I love that little angel. What fabulous taste you had at 7. :)

Linn, I recall your shoes from last year (or was that the year before). They are fabulous!

Midge, I love all your traditional decorations. So pretty!

Woha! Amanda. When can I move into your brother's house? It's so elegant and . . . . . . . expensive looking!!! I bet Christmas dinner around that table is wonderful! :clapping:

Susan, your cat Toy, is that right? Toy? I want to give him a great big cuddle. If he'd let me of course. Gorgeous tree with lovely baubles too. He looks very cute sat under that tree. Wonder what he's thinking?

Ang! Great tree. Love the retro style of your home (particularly your dining table and chairs). I'd love to have a proper nosey around!!!

Oh, and I cannot possibly leave Pam out. That jewellery tree is incredible - awesome even!

Thanks for sharing all your photos. I feel very Christmasey now (is that how you spell it)? :clueless:

Love all those fabulous trees! Well my tree is a work in progress,dear-heart is working crazy hours until Xmas eve, so I hauled this into the house on my own, got the lights all in there- then found out they dont work any more! I had to tie it to the window frame to keep it upright, and it is on a bit of a lean, but heck- its a tree and it's decorated- so its Xmas in my house now, be it a little basic! :) G x

Actually Louise, the tree is the giant cat toy. Or so our cats think. Our big orange boy is named The Stig, because we are huge fans of Top Gear.

More pics please - you all have the most beautiful trees, and like Nicole said, it's fun getting a peek into everyone's homes.
