    That looks like it's late 40s to me, maybe 1950ish

    Thanks Jonathan. I thought it was post War because there are no shoulder pads whatsoever. It's silk too...silk wasn't used during the war was it? The buttons have an early 50ish look to them.

    I thought it had shoulder pads, sorry, it just looks like it in the photos. Maybe its a little more into the 50s then. SIlk was around during the war, but it was less available since the Asian supplies were cut off.

    It's so timeless that it's hard to tell, but it does look like something Mom would have worn when I was very, very young (ie: early 50's.) I think I'll go with early 50s.

    PS: I may keep the dress that fits. How often can a woman find a dress, that fits, that looks great and has a history + is a perfect weight for Arizona?
