    Hi.
I've bought this beautiful vintage maxi dress yesterday...is this from the 1960s or 70s?!
Maybe late 60s/early 70s? Not too sure.
The label reads - Peterson Maid of London. Made In England. 100% Nylon, with a long metal zip at the rear.

Those sleeves were called "colonial" and they were huge in the mid 60s. My Mom was nuts for them. We both had dresses with those sleeves and we used to wear each others. (duh....I think I just gave my age away...:duh2:) You have a metal zipper so I say around there.

  4. "Colonial" sleeves! Thanks Sunny - that I did not know.

    I vote late '60s.

Great dress and based on the pattern, I vote for the late 1960's.
Thank you for information Sunny on the Colonial sleeves, I learn something new everyday. :)
