I was just curious if anyone here knows anything about these. I found them at a garage sale and they seem really unique so any information on these would be extremely helpful. Thanks in advance 16097195982411493325801892624431.jpg 16097196599706566879587119369956.jpg 16097197194137048107128946477306.jpg 16097198004082953637279634222591.jpg

They are definitely huarache-style shoes, but that vamp is different. The fabric looks vaguely like a South American hand-woven cotton to me. The soles look like tire treads, so I assume this is a posh RL interpretation of the modern huarache.

(The modern huarache developed from the adoption in the 1930s of rubber soles developed from used rubber car-tires./per wikipedia)

Hiya, cute sandals. Ralph Lauren has had a theme with Southwestern fabrics since 1981 when he became enamoured with santa fe he also made a statement not to call them Indian or Cowboy. There are definitely vintage pieces lurking around the internet and some are highly collectable. I'm not certain these are vintage but they do give the 'feel' of vintage to me.

I believe that these are late 1990s-early 2000s.

I was thinking same time frame because of the heavy soles.
