So..... do all Z-racks come apart so easily?

After doing some research, I came to the conclusion that Z-racks were the answer to what I needed- portable, height-extendable, easy to buy and use and sturdy hanging solutions for all our clothes (especially as we'd be moving soon). I just put together my first one, and I was dismayed to find that nothing except the hang rail bar locks into anything! All the upright pieces just loosely slide into the other pieces. I get that this makes them super easy to break down, but it also means my dream of being able to just pick one of these up with a partner, clothes and all, and move them to a new location are dashed. Is this a property of Z-racks in general, or did I just happen to get a type where nothing locks into anything?

    Thanks!

I always got the impression that Z-Racks were meant to be rolled with clothes on not picked up.

I do have z-racks that screw in at the bottom but I've bought so many over the years that I couldn't tell you specifically which brand they are.

We use Z-base racks at the museum and they don't fall apart when moved with clothes on it, but what do you mean by 'pick them up' How could you lift one with clothes on it?
