The lapels have me thinking 70's, but I'm not sure. No closures, lined in black satin. I haven't found any info on Fashionbilt yet, the other coats I've found online with the labels are dated to the 60's and 70's. It has the union label that dates from 63-74.. Any clues? Thanks!

I think your coat is 60s. I have one from the 70s, a midi coat, currently on Etsy:

I have a favorite jacket that's by Fashionbilt. Mine's ca. 40s though - they must have been around for some time. I've already take it over to my new apartment, so I can't photograph the label to show it here. Too bad we know nothing about the company... we'd have enough labels now for an entry on the labe resource :).

Fashionbilt was granted a trademark on 8/3/1949 in Philadelphia. The owners were the Epstein Brothers (sorry, no first names). The trademark expired in 1992. Although this brand is not well known, I keep finding their coats at estate sales. I am currently in Arkansas but found them in other Southern states as well. I just purchased another one and I am going to post it as a new thread as there are some aspects of the coat that are odd and you all are the experts.
