This childrens' bonnet is embroidery over ecru net with silk ribbon trim and rosettes. Ordinarily, I would not have trouble dating this piece which "Looks" as if it was early 1900s but I am in doubt because of the stiff fabric "Style" label sewn inside. When did they begin using these labels so I can figure the approximate age of the bonnet?

What a pretty bonnet! In my experience, the earliest I have seen that fabric used for labels is the 1920's.

Have you determined if the ribbon is silk or other? this could also help with dating.
