I need some help identifying this label. I can’t seem to find anything on the internet regarding it. The tag has been cut off, so I am unsure of what the material is. Thanks.

The Room is an extension of the Hudson Bay Company's The Mirror Room, which was their high-end imported dresses, demi-couture etc. department. When Simpsons bought out the HBC in 1978 it was renamed 'The Room'. At some point it was closed, but I don't know when - I think it was in about 1992, and reinstated in 2009. This dress looks early 90s to me, so it was probably from the first incarnation of The Room c. 1978-1992.

Interesting to know all that, Jonathan. The dress looks very Nancy Reagan era to me, late 80s to very early 90s. I can see her wearing that dress, she loved red. Of course she would wear a size minus 000!

Brain Fart -- HBC bought out Simpsons, but that was 1978, and Simpson's used to have the St. Regis Room, so to amalgamate the two, the name was changed to 'The Room'...
