Welcome one and alll to the VFG Holiday 2004 Vintage Fashion Preview!

This special event features both a premier glimpse into what the best vintage clothing and accessory dealers on the internet will be offering this holiday season, as well as a one stop directory for some of the fabulous items that are currently available. How convenient for you busy life!

Shortly, I will post links here to the four threads you can peruse!

Many dealers and vintage fashion afficianados agree or suggest that clothing is:

Antique: 75+ years old
(beginning of time- 1930)
Vintage: Not yet antique, but 25 or more years old.
(1930-1978/9)
Retro: Clothing that is not quite vintage, but clearly of a fashion movement an extreme departure from modern styles
(1979-1989)

We have stuck to this formula, with a little deviation for the practicality of computer space, etc., to "even things up" a bit for that sake.

Fashion Preview I: Antique to Deco!
Take a sip of English breakfast tea in a victorian or edwardian gown, get all dolled up for a Gatsby Picnic, or bring a touch of the glamour of forbidden Hollywood to your sultry style.

Fashion Preview III: The Best of Retro.
(1978-1989)

Some historians, and fashion dealers have suggested that items less than 25 years old, so not "officially" vintage still has a throwback/retro style that is quite a departure from what is being worn today.
