Trying to date this Victorian dress top design to a specific decade

    Hello! I am working on making a 1/3rd scale historical dress, and have fallen for this top design from "Hecklinger's ladies garments How to cut and make up ladies garments":

    My problem is, I cannot seems to find anything that looks quite like it. The author of the book lived in the 1800s, but nothing I see in references to fashion from that period looks quite like this top. I'd like to make sure the skirt matches it in an authentic way, so I'd like to date it before I design the the bottom of the dress to match.

    Any help anyone can give on pinning this style down to an era would help tremendously! Thank you!
