Vintage/Antique Price conversion to current day

    Hiya,

    Just found this interesting calculator online, based on each years rate of inflation for the UK.

    Not sure if there is an equivalent one for different countries but I imagine there is at least something similar.

    So essentially if you have a vintage piece of clothing with an original price tag you can see what the literal conversion would be taking into consideration rates of inflation. It's not an exact science but I thought it was fun and interesting. I used the date of 1980 and the 1980 price tag of £950 and was amazed to see that in current money on the literal translation it would be £4579.
