Hiya, Just found this interesting calculator online, based on each years rate of inflation for the UK. Not sure if there is an equivalent one for different countries but I imagine there is at least something similar. So essentially if you have a vintage piece of clothing with an original price tag you can see what the literal conversion would be taking into consideration rates of inflation. It's not an exact science but I thought it was fun and interesting. I used the date of 1980 and the 1980 price tag of £950 and was amazed to see that in current money on the literal translation it would be £4579.
