Hello, I purchased this vintage handbag, and the gold lettering has worn off so much that it is very hard to read. I have 2 reseller friends who think that it is Bloomingdale's. The handbag is very well made, and I could see where it might read bloomingdale's. My only concern is that all vintage Bloomingdale's handbags I find online have a cloth label, where this has gold lettering. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I have had good luck uploading picture with the image button at the top of the post. These links are not working
Hi, I am new here, and when I click on the paper clip or the image icon, it only shows me the option to add a URL, so that is why I have links. Is there a way to upload from my PC? Thanks Julie
I think it could be Bloomingdales as well. They have a trademark where they cross the o's So I could see them crossing the b d like that on a purse.
I didn't think the logo looked quite like Bloomingdale's and the second half of the word looked like 'davis.' That led me to find this:
You are a genius, thank you! My son kept saying the end was Davis, and I could only think of Whiting & Davis
