I am trying to date a vintage hat I recently purchased. The label says G A Dunn and Co, Picadilly Circus London. It is a black felt, Homburg style (I think that is what it is called) Purchased in an antique store in Waterford Ireland. Some research shows that they quit using the initials around 1940, so this may be older? It is in top shape, no tears, stains or moth damage. I have another hat that is dated to 1963, a tweed Walking hat and the label in it says Dunn and Co. with no initials
Sounds interesting. If you can post photos of the hat - exterior shots and interior labels - it will help in dating.
