Vintage hats

Hi, I am going through an estate for a family friend. I found some beautiful hats. Most with San Fransisco labels: Maison Mendessolle, Joseph Monin, Yvonne Originals, and 2 of the really neat ones say "Coret" (i think). I haven't found a lot of info, I was wondering if any of these rang a bell with anyone?

Thanks for sharing your finds. What is it you want to know about the hats? They look to be from the 1960s, most appear to be made for the middle aged woman of taste.

Can you show the labels? Are you sure it is not Joseph Magnin (not Monin)?

My camera battery died before i could get label photos today, but as soon as it charges I can.
Yes, It is Joseph Magnin, there are 2 by that label.
The Coret hats, I would love any info on. they are the blue and the ribbon and tulle hats. I wasn't able to even find label info using Google.
I appreciate knowing they may be 60s style, I wasn't sure. Thank you!

Hello,

Was this estate where you found the hats located in San Francisco? Without seeing any photos of the labels, it would seem that your hats are all from California, more specifically the San Francisco area. I would be more sure once I see the labels themselves. Maison Mendesolle was an exclusive and expensive shop located in the Saint Francis hotel in San Fran. Yvonne is another San Fran label, and may be a brand name used by a larger hat making company (not sure on this). Coret was a hat firm in San Fran too. And of course Joseph Magnin we know as what was once a high end department store in the same area.

If we see more pix, we might be able to get a better idea of the date on each hat, and what each is made of.

The Joseph Magnin and the Mendesolle would be the "better" of the hats. The other labels are more mid range hats.

She did live in San Francisco at one time. I have found SO many things from the area.
I will get better label photos tomorrow (I had camera issues this afternoon).

Thank you for the added photos of labels. I still think these are all from the 1960s. Possibly one, maybe one of the blue ones, is late 1950s but it is hard to tell from just the 1 photo posted.
