    Vintage Inspirations: Varsity Team

On runways and streets, varsity looks have a starting spot in the fall lineup! Get the look by mixing in polo shirts, twinsets, crested blazers, horn-rimmed specs, pleated skirts, button-down shirts, loafers, boat shoes and the iconic letter sweaters and jackets—all vintage of course. Go team!

Every school needs a majorette, doesn't it?

Just for kicks: This is my cousin Nancy and some guy who just could be related to Brando. I found a different letter jacket that belonged to Nancy in a secondhand store in my fair city, 1,277 miles from where she lived and wore the jacket. It had her name in it. Of course I purchased it, then I gave that jacket to my niece.

    did someone say majorette???

as we're going through Bruce's moms belongings, we first found this photo that no one remembers ever seeing before, then found this adorable pin in the back of one of her drawers! It's a side of her we weren't aware of, but are delighted to know of this part of her past now!! Pin is NFS, but wanted to share it here.

  16. Great photo and I love that sweet little pin, Mary. Maggie, your story about your cousin Nancy was just amazing. What a coincidence. It was meant to come to you so that you could give it to your niece. The personal photos and stories are a great addition to this Parade!
