Hi, I'm new but could really use some help in identifying some amazing linen pieces I have inherited. The first piece is a table or side board or even an alter runner for that matter. It's 106cm long and 45cms wide. It is white linen and has 21 cms of rust brown cross stitch on either fringed end depicting what I think are two black outlined large clawed dogs, standing on their hind legs their bodies facing away but their growling heads turned toward each other. Other markings are similar to fleur-de-lis and hexagonal rosettes stitched only in black thread.
The other piece is a white linen 70cm dia octagonal cut work side table cloth. Among other elements it has inserted lace panels depicting what I think are winged griffins with their front paw resting upon a crest shaped shield. Any information or thoughts on the above linens would be so much appreciated.
    I have photos if requested

They do sound lovely. We don't often see linens here but if you post some photos someone may be able to help you out.
